Damn this intake with a diablo tune on my 14' Gemi Durango would gain around 30 hp. That's a decent bump for a tune and a new intake

What’s the largest size throttle body that will fit on this exact unit not the old version?

Mine is being shipped hopefully soon. Would be great to feel the different but 60-130 times are what I’m looking to improve

Oh cool, its open air element, and right next to the engine so it can suck in all that hot engine air, as well as money out of your wallet.

This test is in no way apples to apples, if they wanted to give you real data they would Dyno with the hood shut. You would then see a very small increase in power and you would also see a huge increase in heat soak on back to back pulls. Also this test is invalid because they didn’t use an AWD Dyno to give you real world data. The only way a JLT or any other open element CAI makes more power is on a Dyno with the hood open. I have seen. Dyno numbers from these fake apples to apples test show 30-40 more whp only to show no 60-130 real world results. If you take the lid off of a proper CAI it will net the same results but in 60-130 testing you will see no difference. However you may see plenty of heat soak problems in stop and go traffic of back to back passes. Is this product better than stock yes but a proper sealed CAI is a much better option, not to mention if you have a Mass air equipped vehicle as the quality control is terrible on the actual size of the unit.

With hood open, you're pulling air from everywhere, not from the engine bay where the air is trapped. You lose power at low speed and low RPM in real world. Unless - are you driving with no hood on? Nope. Acting like an intake is a mini supercharger is blasphemy. If they worked, every manufacturer would be putting them in their cars. Not knocking. Just don't sell lies. Been running your JLT on my 392 for 2 years. But been so disappointed I going back to stock box to see how she runs. Is a nice system though.

Your website states this only fits wide body models , is that correct ? Looking for one to fit my 2018 Hellcat that currently has the factory enclosed air box with small panel air filter

hopefully that big seal on the air box isnt important.

What’s the difference between this one and the tune required? I have the tune required on my 19 gt pp1 10 speed. When I bought it I didn’t see a no tune required intake guess this is fairly new? Bought mine about 2 years ago

My question is will this void the warranty, I called dodge they said call the dealer, I called the dealer and they said it could but buy Mopar and you won’t have to worry about. I want this JLT but is it a big risk, seems sketchy to me at the dealership that anything goes wrong with the engine. They’ll try to blame that.

Restrictions can also be due to filtering more or less particulate matter as well. If you just want the most air flow then no filter at all would do that. Of course you then risk inhaling damaging particulate matter….so we’re all the filters used in this test the exact same or not? That would clarify what your intake was doing. Thanks

I have a 2018 mustang gt looking to get a jlt intake, if I get the one that requires a tune but don’t end up putting the tune on till a month later is it still going to mess up the engine or just stick with the non required jlt intake

If I have the series 2 intake with the hellcat snorkel in my '21 charger widebody scat would this be a worthwhile upgrade over the previous version and will it still work in a charger with the snorkel?

I bought this for my 2021 widebody scat pack. Backstory: I previously installed the functional snorkel for fresh air ( pairs with hellcat lower airbox) and it does work with this as well. Only issue is the rubber sealing strip along the top is too thick and does not allow the hood to close. If you take it off, the hood still seals tightly enough though so I will run mine without the rubber piece.

Dynojet Dyno's have the most exaggerated numbers. Not even close to accurate and for a tuner to believe it is a shame. I ran my 2021 GT500 bone stock in Virginia Beach on a Mustang Dyno. om a 55-60 degree day I put 629 rwhp and 592 rwtq town.

Will you dyno test your dry vs oiled filter to see which gained the most peak HP and TQ ? This test was done using the oiled version of the filter correct ?

I have a C8 Z06 and I am curious if you all are seeing any lights or foresee any issues with the added volume of air? I only ask because I’ve seen a few folks (naysayers) saying this engine could have issues with that additional volume of air. TIA. Love the content.

I love that mods are starting to come out for these C8's, but now the vettes a real pain in the ass to work on now that's it a mid engine.

The question I always have is for what other factor(s) is the OEM trying to optimize that isn't present here? I don't think anyone has any belief that the same people responsible for them LT6 can't make some ducting flow well. So what else is going on? Doubt it's NVH or emissions and I'm guessing this has good filtration, so I'm at a loss.
